Overview of Racing and Junior Sailing at the Club
RHYC has a busy programme of racing events, including many Open Events. Popular classes at the club are Lasers, Toppers, Teras, Wayfarers and Ajax keel boats, as well as the handicap class for other dinghies and yacht and cruiser racing.
We have regular dinghy racing on Sunday and on Wednesday evenings during the season, together with a Winter Series and a variety of special races and regattas, including the Smuggler’s Trophy, the All-In Race, the Sunk Race, the Boxing Day Race and the August Regatta.
In addition to information and reports from the various sailing sections, this section also includes Racing Results and other useful Racing Information.
The Club organises numerous Open Events, and hosts the prestigious RORC North Sea Race. We place a huge emphasis on Junior Sailing, and our Junior Race Week is renowned, attracting participants from far and wide.
Overall responsibility for organising racing at the club lies with the Rear Commodore, Sailing.
