Clubhouse
The RHYC boasts a modern, spacious clubhouse with panoramic views overlooking the River Orwell in Suffolk. We have three function rooms which are available to members. All rooms have floor to ceiling glass windows with extensive views over the River Orwell.
A beautifully maintained lawn overlooks the marina and river, with informal seating – ideal for enjoying the warmer weather.
A fully licensed bar is available with a substantial wine list and locally brewed beers with personalised, quality service from our highly experience catering team.
The clubhouse also has a large car park, modern bathroom facilities with showers and WC and free Wi-Fi and is available to both members and non-members for corporate and private functions.
Well behaved dogs are very welcome to stop for a bowl of water outside (only) and on the lawn so long as they remain on their lead. Assistance dogs such as Guide dogs are permitted in the clubhouse.

Orwell Room & Club Library:
The Club Library is in the Orwell Room on the first floor. It has an extensive collection of sailing related books, mostly non-fiction, planning charts (paper and digital) and other publications. There are also several members’ cruising logs which have been entered for the Cruising Log Trophy over the years. Most of the library stock may be borrowed by members and makes a great source of escapist and inspiring reading for your summer cruise or winter fireside. The Club’s archives prior to 1970 are housed at the Suffolk Records Office, Gatacre Road, Ipswich. The catalogue for this part of our archives is available from Suffolk Heritage Direct by clicking on the following link to their website: Suffolk Archives

Catering
Our quality catering partner, Reeves Events, caters for all our club requirements using mainly locally sourced foods.

Sunday roast lunches are available most weeks and bespoke dining options are available for larger club events.
Our menu is prepared fresh to order by our professional catering partners Reeves Events who are happy to cater for all dietary requirements: vegetarian, gluten and dairy free.
