Description
Working through the RYA recognised Junior Training Courses based on River Orwell, Ipswich, Suffolk we deliver certificated RYA Stages from 1-4+
For Juniors at RYA stage 4 with more sailing experience the instructors will introduce the RYA seamanship, sailing with spinnakers’ and start racing syllabus – please call the office to discuss.
Members and Non-Members are welcome.
The course will be led by a Senior Instructor and all groups run by fully qualified Dinghy Instructors.
For School year 6 and below we ask for parents to be present on site for the week or nominate ‘loco-parentis’. School year 7 (from Sept 25) and above that parents are within easy access and max 20 minutes from the club)
If we can not fill the course with a minimum of 8 attendees then RHYC and the course senior instructor reserve the right to cancel 2 weeks before the course, which will be fully refundable.
If the weather is going to be above 20 knots of wind for the duration of the course, the senior instructor will make a decision to postpone the course prior to its start. You will be issued with a credit note for the full value of the course, in the event of weather events beyond our control.
